review 1: It's an alright book. It did a brief overview of Adam Smith, Malthus, David Ricardo - the theory of competitive advantage, and the labor theory of value - and Marx's response to capitalism using Ricardo's theoretical lenses was given some credence. He also aired Keynes' theories in a readable manner. It was good. It also stresses that economic models are esoteric, erudite, inaccessible, simplified and don't take everything into account.The references are on economixcomix.com.
review 2: The book is an informative crash course about the history of economics; particularly, in US and the western world. The history spans from the British monopolies to WW1 to WW2 to 2008 Wall Street crash. The book talks about various theories of economy and their pros and cons. O
... moref course, the book does contain opinions from the author, but then which literary work doesn't.All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Very informative!! less
