review 1: As a retired librarian, I was immediately attracted to this book. Failing to get an advanced copy, I was so intrigued by the subject I immediately placed an order and bought the book.It was a good as I thought it would be. In the short 200 pages of this book I felt like I had traveled with the troops in WWII. The book also showed what strength America can have despite our own internal divisions. If only every American today could read this book and realize that we have more that unites us than divides us. If only.
review 2: This book was fascinating. I had no idea that special Armed Service Edition books were printed and distributed during WWII. The book is rather short, most likely due to the fact that it is a very narrow focus, but I enjoyed the anecdot

It is made for post-it bookmarks and margin-notes to identify passages I want to remember. less
