review 1: Don't get me wrong, the book itself was actually quite interesting but the author totally ruined my reading experience for me. She rubbed me the wrong way and came off seeming really snobby and hardened by the end of the book. Each of her chapters focused on a new crime/death and I found it hard to sympathize or relate to the people conducting the postmortems and investigations. Nothing about their personal lives was included in the book, you see, so I formed no attachments to anyone.
