review 1: Okay. This book was a lot of fun, and I really love the angel/vampire relationship, but I did have some issues with it. For instance, the constant (and oftentimes ridiculous) statements of love. Enough already! I also really didn't understand why Brandon and Cornelius couldn't be together? It seemed... I don't know. If he was truly worried about what Mael though, shouldn't he have talked to Mael? Anyway. Fun book otherwise :) review 2: I give this a a 3.5 star. What I liked about this book is that one of the main characters was an angel. You don't read a whole lot about angels in a paranormal settings, especially paired with a vampire. I enjoyed the interactions between the main characters, Mael and Cian and their desire to be together in spite of the fact that... more they shouldn't have been becuase if their species differences. On a side note, I felt myself more drawn to the side characters, Brandon and Cornelius, more than the main characters. I'm not sure I can really pinpoint why, just that I looked forward to their time in the book. And I hope the next book is about them.For a first book that I've ready by these authors, I enjoyed it and would be interested in reading more by them. less
