review 1: Ahh!! This volume was a lot more like the Sailor Moon I knew and loved... complete will silly shenanigans from the friends as they hang out! The storyline is actually pretty intense! And I liked that it really had one main focus instead of multiple small ones like the last volume. It makes it seem less rushed and the reader is able to get into the storyline more. More importantly, Sailor Venus joined the team in this volume, so clearly it's great ;-) Though she actually isn't my favorite Sailor Scout, Sailor Pluto is... but of the main five, Venus is definitely my fave!And man, Tuxedo Mask is way more of a bad ass in the manga then he ever was in the anime! (at least in the English version where Darien was always kind of a wimpy moron who acted like an 80 year old man) I l... moreike this Darien (rather Mamoru) and Tuxedo Mask waaaaaaaaay better!! (Though "You drippy ding bat" will be a hard line to beat :-p haha!)I can't wait to keep reading!!
review 2: The second volume really picks up, and current interest took over from my nostalgic love of vol. 1. The story becomes a lot more flowing and natural, with a lot fewer things that just sort of happen or massive coincidences that come out of nowhere. The story is starting to paint a more complete picture of who the characters are, and what their relationships and meaning to one another had been. There are some pretty solid character change events, and thematic threads are starting to come more strongly to the surface, making it just an easier and better read. less
