review 1: it was an interesting story about an invisible girl that was practically in the Mafia because of a horrible dad. she moves to a town to get away from her father along with her mother. she starts making friends immediately and gets a crush almost immediately. but when she actually spend time with them she finds that things don't click the way she wanted to and she ends up falling for someone else. I like the romance in this one, I still predicted it but I thought it was nice of none the less because I couldn't wait for her to figure it out. I thought it ended a little too easily so I am glad to find that there is a sequel. I didn't really like the main character to start with so she's a little too harsh. but she kind of grew on me it was also a story about empowerment and I... more really like that, also family which was a nice theme. and her brother Miles was just great I love his "plan".
review 2: 2.5 stars. I wanted this book to take invisibility all the way. Instead it seemed like Fiona was just an average high school girl who happened to have this quirk. I wanted the Brandon Sanderson version of invisibility/super power...you know what I mean? I found myself skimming to the end because the super power aspect wasn't intriguing enough. The whole story was really more focused on the romance. I wanted the awesome super power version. Which is not Natalie Whipple's fault. That was just the expectation I brought to the book. The premise was still pretty unique. So I can see why other readers might enjoy this book more than I did. less
