review 1: I read this as part of the Kindle Unlimited program because I had previously read the first book of the series, The Unwanted Wife. The book kept switching between the past and present that left me a bit confused as to the progression and made it a bit difficult to follow it until mid-way through the book when they finally intersect. I must admit that I admired the author's ability to do this because I know my own skills are not that complex in this area. I found myself frustrated with the hero and sometimes seriously wanted to shake him but realized that I could not relate to his ailment completely. Perhaps because the heroine in the first installment had so much fire that I was disappointed that Bronwyn did not have the same type of personality. I am glad that the charact... moreers finally resolved their issues because it would have been completely disappointing otherwise. I am not sure how the third installment will connect other than the slight mention but I am eager to read it.
review 2: Well, the book was..disappointing. Considering how much I like the first book this was just blah for me. The whole concept of doing something without even thinking about it and thus affecting their lives until wait... they do love each other seems so, for lack of a better word, dumb. If they "loved" each other as much as they did then none of those things would happen, but then again there would be no drama and thus no book. I give this one, 2 and a half or maybe just barely touching a three rating. less
