review 1: An entertaining collection of interviews and reports with comedians such as Stephen Colbert, Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, Eugene Levy, Mel Brooks, Drew Carey, and Paula Poundstone among others. "Fake" stories such as a Starbucks coffee pipeline and a New York preschool that does DNA testing to determine who they will accept are also shared.Overall it wasn't laugh out loud funny. I did enjoy the humorous story of the man who's apartment was being fumigated and he moves into Ikea for the week. I also thought the interviews with Stephen Colbert, Phyllis Diller and Joan Rivers were interesting and well done.
review 2: The idea of having the highlights of NPR on demand on a CD is outstanding and makes me very happy. The reason for the three stars is that there are a
... more few entries in this album that really aren't terribly funny, but I've heard other stuff on NPR that is hilarious. Likewise, it's very short--two CDs and it's over, which made me a little sad.Having said all that, though--great for a road trip and I hope to find similarly themed NPR CDs in the future. less

Just so so. Not really anything great. A couple moments of laughter...but not much.
