review 1: This bear loves to hug. He'll hug anything, but his favorite thing to hug is trees. When he finds a man with an ax in the forest, he doesn't feel very hugging. What I thought: I loved Big Bear Hug! I can't wait to pair it with Hugless Douglas. The story is sweet and the illustrations are nice. I find it interesting that the human is the only figure that has outlines. My favorite illustrations are hugging rabbit, hugging moose, and hugging the tree (last page).Story Time Themes: Hugging, Arbor Day, Trees
review 2: Giving new meaning to the term “bear hug”, this book introduces a huge bear who absolutely loves to hug everything, even skunks! Want to know what happens when he encounters a lumberjack who intends to cut down one of the forest trees? Find out by

This is super adorable. The drawings are very basic but I think that is just part of it's charm.

An environmentalist bear. Interesting, but predictable.
