review 1: I love dark reads so I had high expectations starting this. It didn't let me down all that much. I do see were some of the other reviewer's struggles were pertaining to Celeste. Her character was a struggle for me.She was made out to be some slutty Vegas girl and she wasn't. Lenonide, I was suppose to hate him for what he was doing to Celeste, but after awhile and even in the beginning his actions showed other wise. When he spoke nothing but hatred spilled out, but underneath, you saw his heart. Yes, im a little dark and twisted too (lol). Alot of things were not explained properly and that made the story have depth.I would have also liked to see more of the relationship that Celeste and Lenonide had instead of all the self loathing they did with themselves. Other than th... moreat this was a good dark story!!
review 2: I liked the premise of this story and since it was a Kindle freebie I decided to take my chances on it, though I did have high hopes for it. I was pleasantly surprised and ended up enjoy the story. Celeste (h) is down on her luck. Her boyfriend ,whom she live with and just happens to be her boss ,dumps her . Now she has no job and no where to live, taking the little bit of money that he gave her for a few nights in a hotel she goes to a beauty shop and gets her self fixed up and then heads for Vagas. Leonide (H) is in Vegas on a business trip, that business being the kidnapping and training of young women. He takes an order of what physical attributes a paying customer wants, finds them, takes them and trains them in what ever way they want. He is looking for a blonde American girl this time and when he sees Celeste he knows she's the one. Now, this story does come with the need to suspend belief a bit but the writing and the over all story is good. I liked that Celeste was a fighter and didn't give up easy and there was no insta-love between the two ,which I hate. Leonide is tall ,dark, handsome, cold, ruthless and mean. Wrap all of that up with a sexy Russian accent and what's not to love. =) less
