The Rachael O'Brien Chronicles
review 1: Remember that freshman year away at school? All the unusual people you meet? Wanting to grab life and taste it with gusto? I know you do! I sure as heck did! Throw in a bunch of males, booze, marijuana & n art mystery and give it southern flavor and you have a fun romp thru freshman year at college! This is a fun read-- will have to look for the next in the series! Sit back and enjoy the ride!
review 2: Pretty good writing, pretty good plot, well except for the weird out of nowhere issue you wonder why nothings happening with til you realize that's going to be the cliff hanger or the common thread through the series. I stopped reading because the content was getting not so enjoyable. Her whole quest in college is to party and lose her virginity, but y
... moreou know "the fall in love way" or so she says. That doesn't hold true when she's just searching for any guy who's not ugly to cling onto with hopes that will be THE night. Because love comes in one party. She doesn't seem to learn her lesson after so many hangovers, hmmm, maybe I shouldn't drink so much. She's constantly drinking at each party, never without one in her hand and going to her mouth. I could possibly get over the partying, hoping she starts to smarten up, if it weren't for the sex angle. The language is also more than moderate swearing. And Rachel isn't the only one letting her teenage hormones run away with her. I know a lot of people don't hold themselves up to high standards, but, I'd rather the intimate details be left out of the book. The mystery part of the plot was developing nicely, but that was only a small part of the goings on. I couldn't feel good about continuing to read the crap for the tiny gem in the middle. Hope the author writes something cleaner. less

This was a nice southern mystery set in the 80's and I enjoyed the simplicity of it.
