review 1: I have always admired Pam Grier. While she was a sexual icon to many men and teenaged boys, I loved the strength of her characters. She is not only physically BEAUTIFUL, she is highly intelligent, a nature-lover, independent, and a Cancer survivor. I loved reading about her life and how in many ways she was sooo different than the characters she portrayed. She is candid about life and I felt she was sharing her life exclusively with me. As a teacher, I took a break from reading Teacher Professional Development Books this summer to finish her book which I had started earlier this year. Glad I did. I highly recommend this book. Great Read!!
review 2: I have always like Pam Grier, and it was interesting reading her biography, though it seemed a tad preachy or a li... morettle like a tall tale at various times. All in all, it was pretty informative and her opinions on a variety of subjects were expressed, and though she acknowledges some of her relationships the book isn't a kiss-and-tell style bio, more of a journey and her opinion on how the journey's gone thus far. less
