review 1: Expectations: I really didn't feel like this book would be too compelling. I read the reviews and I just didn't feel too excited about it. Characters: I liked that the Family was a unique kind of vampires. Cassandra was a girl who was trying to find her purpose in the world besides sacrificing for her family. I admire her for that. Her, Scott and Samantha are amazing characters. Siobhan was another character that I wished was in the story more, along with Robyn and Becca. Plot: This book I feel like is more about finding out what you want for yourself, instead of a romance novel. The romance part was very cute though. There were a lot of lines that made me melt, and made me squeal and sigh. Some parts even pushed me to tears myself, which I thought was VERY ironic. :) The ... moreplot in itself was pretty good, I just didn't get too hooked in the beginning, therefor only earning this book three stars. Overall: I wold re-read it again, it wasn't bad. I just feel like this book had so much more potential. At some parts of the book, it felt too vague.
review 2: I absolutely love the concept of this book! It was so different from all the other vampire books yet, still similar. I love that she fell in love with a smart, nerdy, not so good looking guy instead of your typical hunky heartthrob who makes your mouth water lol. This book was so unique and the author was so creative. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves vampire books but is looking for something a bit different! less

A mesmerising book. However, some parts of the book are a bit too abrupt.
