review 1: The hero shows up injured to the heroines house and though she's been stripped o her powers and no longer a troubleshooter, she's obliged to help him. He's slowly loosing himself to the dark side and this manifests in the number of times he's had the overwhelming urge to kill her sister. His no nonsense attitude and absolute zero tolerance for the heroine pity act was refreshing and it was charming how he took to calling her angel. Other than that, however, I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters either in lust or love. It's hinted throughout the story that the heroine is absolutely stunning and has a history of being a party girl but she was boring. It's more than half way through the book before they even kiss. Disappointing considering it's a paranormal roman... morece novel.
review 2: I picked this book up with little hope, but thought what the heck. After reading the Proglogue, I really didn't think I was going to like this book...BUT I loved it. Maia Frasier and Creed Blackwood have great chemistry, have issues to deal with and emotional baggage. The story was well written and kept me turning the pages. The down side is now I will be reading the 1st book second, but it will be worth it. less

I read the books out of order, #3 in the series is the best so far,...(Edge of Dawn)

Just an ok due to some unresolved plot points and some cheesy! dialogue.
