review 1: This title has just joined my 2015 shortlist. When I first started reading it, I thought...this MUST be a male author because Maggie (1st person)sounded to me like her voice was written by a male/witty repartee/humor. She just sounded to me like a young guy instead of girl, but as I read on, she was believable. I don't know whether this is a plus or a minus, but I loved the 3 main characters as well as the parents. The theme of using social media (even for a very good reason--as they did) can get out of hand and have undesirable, even illegal, consequences. This contemporary theme, coupled with a classic novel really worked. Well written dialogue/funny/some realistic sadness/a little romance/very REAL. I would recommend this novel to good 4th grade readers through 6th g... morerade.
review 2: I went into this very warily. But, it turned out to be a great book! I loved the interweaving of two of my favorite things: literature and Catholicism. There were many instances that made me giggle throughout the book. I worried that the premise was kind of silly, but I thought it was developed really nicely. I liked the name dropping of famous nerds, although that kind of limits the staying power of the book. less

Amazing book! I am hoping my students do not get any ideas, but I love the idea of this.
