review 1: A lively little collection of personal essays by a wonderful writer. Most of her output has been novels and Moon Tiger won the Booker. Lively is aware that at age 80 she is going to have to slow down. But her pleasures are not diminished: she reflects on her love of literature, her family and memories of travel and growing up in Egypt. Lively is a particularly engaging writer, and this memoir is a special read.
