A Glimpse of Sweet Revenge

Sweet revenge, things had changed, what has been mean before might be different of how it has been used by frequent fosters of event in the present. Shift had shown how my experiences took ways that would allow me to overcome from being fell in the clift of tragedy.

I just can’t imagine how disaster brought me into this wonderful nightmare of opportunity that it turns out into something very cool and fantastic journey, way to a successful dreams that held me a blooming earnings of knowledgeable experiences I can be used to defeat sudden switch.

Way back few years ago when typhoon Yolanda known as Haiyan internationally, it was really a disaster when it hits the entire place of Leyte. At first the people in our area are not really preparing as it appear normal when there are typhoon coming. It brought a big trauma to the entire community.

In my experience, it was early in the morning the said date for the typhoon to start. I never thought it as alarming because the rain are  just calmly falling and it appears usual for me. About 6:00 a.m. the rain starts to go wild as the wind blows very fast with a sense of anger. I saw branches falling and roof shouting in pain like it was being tortured with a big hammer.

I’m cooking breakfast then and when it becomes stronger someone called me to get inside. I can still hear the sharp and metallic sound of the roof outside so I glimpse a bit and in the right timing the roof of our neighbor was maneuvered by the strange force of the wind from the west.

The entire roof and it’s beam flown like it was being thrown using the sling of hitter escorted by the strong wind. The trees, the small plants was ruined in just one wipe. We we’re having a Black Rosary, as we are in the middle of all parts the second wind from the west hit the windows like it was being punched by a heavy equipment. The wind make its way to get into the house and blown all the foods in the dining table passes to the other side of the place. All the things inside the house was destroyed except the sculpture image of the holy articles. Tables, chairs, doors were scattered all over the place.

We run upstairs and stayed in the center isle and squeezing from coldness and eaten by fright. Someone said where is Mikay (our dog) It was also the time that she gave birth to her second maternity. Despite of fear, I dived and risk my safety to save our dog and her newly born child with her husband Drake(our male dog)… I jumped the stairs going down and ravishingly turned the place into nothing happened and picked them in their places and bowed down in order not to hit the saucer object flying all over the place. Mikay looked into my face and I boldly witnessed and saw in her eyes full of fear and worries while she wants to tell a billion thanks to me for saving her and the rest of her love ones.

I put them into a safe area while I can hear crying full of fear and horror in the middle of all the rooms where I can see the beauty of the setting that turns out into a dreadful nightmare full of repentance. The floor were vanish by the water and we are sitting at it. I felt the freezing moment of being exposed by the temperature and the punishment of nature with its retrieving suffering brought by human activities.

At the same day, few hours had passed the surrounding had become deaf and the only sound I can be heard is the wind and the rain fall. I can see no birds flying around I thought of their safety but I doubt if they had avoided the terror of the wind. The place, the beautiful places turns into a newly planted bonsai, mountains are filled with swallowed leaves and branches, rice fields are full of water flowing down.

There were no enough food to eat, safe water to drink, everything has fully equipped with destruction. We had no choice but to clean up and save what’s capable to be used to and the messed that the disaster had brought us. The super destructive typhoon brought me one thing that in every activities that we have, we must reflect its action in return.

Days had passed and we had slowly moved on. I remember when I saved Mikay our dog that even until now I can still see in her eyes full of gladness and bountiful thanks.

Every time I’ll go home.. I can really feel how she is thankful every day.

In my part I am really thankful of the people that has been part of my dramatic story during typhoon Yolanda. It was a horror that was full of nightmare yet a beautiful memoir that shows of what are the right way to live as one big community of friendship.

Just one thing I can say in this world “Everything happens for a reason, if even it is blurred enough to see and so invisible to feel”.
