Disney Princess: Type 5

Type Five – The Investigator

Knowledge-seeker, Perceptive, Isolated, Innovative

Other personality types can be logical, rational thinkers as well, but Type Five personalities have the unique, core desire to to be useful, capable, and competent. Investigative Types want to learn how the world around them works and seek to test truths for themselves. They can be visionaries, but have a propensity towards thinking rather than action.

JANE

Up until 2016, Jane was holding her own as the sole Type Five Disney Princess. And this Queen of the Jungle is an awesome representative.

She is scientifically minded like her father, and uses her artistic skills to accuratly document new discoveries.

She seeks to understand the new exciting world of the jungle and appears learned in scientific theories, proving she is well read and well educated.

Her teaching methods for Tarzan are logical and effective.

She is even shown to be proficient in the technologies of her day.

Jane practices a bit of liguistics as she seeks to learn the language of the apes and monkeys. Her disposition is of one willing to learn of and from new culture, and is accepted into Tarzan’s world as a result.

She adapts to her surroundings as she learned how to understand and capably navigate her environment. This can be shown by the increasing practicality of her clothes and hair styles pertaining to her surroundings.

She demonstrated the acceptance of her introverted nature as she decided to live in the jungle with Tarzan and her father, rather than returning to tame, civilized England.

Not only does this show she is content living with a few close people, rather than many, but it shows she would rather live in a world where she can learn and explore. And we love her for it.

ISABEL

ISABEL

Isabel is Princess Elena’s sister in the new Disney series Elena of Avalor. Although Isabel is not the main princess of the series, she is a welcome and needed addition to Type Five Disney Princesses. She shows a strong investigative personality. She does have strong friendships with her sister, grandparents, and a few close friends,

but she also demonstrates enjoying alone time.

She prefers sketching pictures or reading a book by herself rather than being in the thick of the action.

On the other hand, she does have a sense of adventure, and, if she spots anything new or out of the ordinary, she immidatly goes to investigate.

She loves learning and creating. She is a proven inventor, and her logical problem-solving brain helps her succeed at fixing anything.

Her insatiable curiosity propels her to learn, wether it is in her own country or a foreign place. She continues to be an awesome representation of the Investigator Type for the youngest generation.

When Fives are moving in a direction of growth and health, they well gain positive characteristics of a self-confident and decisive Eight. (The Challenger. Merida)

When Fives are stressed, they take on negative attributes of Sevens, such as being high-strung and scattered. (The Enthusiast. Jasmine)

Investigator personality types can also be driven by the secondary motivations, called ‘wings’, of Fours (The Individualist. Elsa) and/or Sixes (The Loyalist. Rapunzel)

One things for sure,

Fives are freaking awesome.
