This month’s reading: Jan & Feb 2017

It was a slow start to reading this year, and I managed to get through only five books in the first two months combined. Part of it was because I was on one of those rare holidays where there was enought to do other than reading.

One of the reading goals I have for this year is to read as many new authors as the ones I’ve already read. This month’s highlight was new author Sabaa Tahir. Her fantasy An Ember in the Ashes series is rivetting, and I devoured the first two books: An Ember in the Ashes, and A Torch Against the Night. I can’t wait for the third instalment to be out (expected publication is in 2018). My full review for these two books is pending (I definitely intend to put one up!), but this is a 10/10 recommend if you like fantasy. Plus, the covers are gorgeous!

This month’s reading list:

  • Stephanie Laurens — Lord of the Privateers (Adventurers Quartet, Book 4):
  • Cindy Anstey — Love, Lies and Spies:
  • Katie McGarry — Chasing Impossible:
  • Sabaa Tahir — An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, Book 1):
  • Sabaa Tahir — A Torch Against the Night (An Ember in the Ashes, Book 2):
