WWW Wednesday: Read, Reading, Will Read (18)

Welcome to WWW Wednesday, a meme currently being hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words. It’s a place for you to do a little update on what your reading plans are.

The Three W’s are:

1. The Trapped Girl by Robert Dugoni

Mystery, yes! Fourth installment in the Tracy Crosswhite series. I’m nearing the end, and so far the novel hasn’t really gripped me like the others did. Struggled a bit with the beginning, as it seems to be the norm with these novels, and the POV shift from third to first person also threw me off.

2. The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King

Fantasy! I’m finally jumping into the Dark Tower series. I read the first installment a while ago, and ended up getting the entire series for my birthday this year. I’m about 190 pages in, and I’m loving it! I still have pretty much no idea what’s going on, but the strangeness of it all is lovely.

3. City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett

YA Fantasy! I’ve been meaning to read this for so long now. This is the first novel in the Divine Cities series, which I’ve only heard good things about. I’m only about 40 pages in so far, still at the very beginning, but the world-building is already super interesting!

What did you recently finish reading?
  • King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard: Nothing happens in this book. Seriously, it’s so boring. Review here.
  • Her Final Breath by Robert Dugoni: Really liked it! The mystery continues to be thrilling and engaging. Review here.
  • An Unsuitable Heir by K.J. Charles: My favorite of the series! Amazing and diverse Historical/Mystery romance. Great ending! Review to come.
  • What do you think you’ll read next? The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman

ARC! And the perfect Fall read! This is a prequel to Hoffman’s Practical Magic and it tells the story of Aunts Franny and Jet.

Hundreds of years later, in New York City at the cusp of the sixties, when the whole world is about to change, Susanna Owens knows that her three children are dangerously unique. Difficult Franny, with skin as pale as milk and blood red hair, shy and beautiful Jet, who can read other people’s thoughts, and charismatic Vincent, who began looking for trouble on the day he could walk.
