Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today we are talking about Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings!

WARNING SPOILERS

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

“Plenty of more time to rise more hell.”

I got a copy of this book at ALA after waiting in line for more then thirty minutes with my sister complaining the whole time. I had been wanting to read this book for a long time ever since it was first available as an ebook. I mainly wanted to read it because if you have ever seen Sasha Alsberg or Lindsay Cummings in any video then you should know that they are the cutest things in the whole world. Sasha was the first booktuber I ever watched and I’ve loved watching her go through everything and writing this book. I’ve been wanting this book for a while and I was lucky enough to get an arc. I might go get a finish edition of the book because my edit somehow got scratches on it and looks like it’s falling apart and then the finish edition is pretty!

This isn’t my time reading this book, my first time was after ALA when I was in the middle of book slump and I wasn’t able to full place myself in the book, you know what it’s like being in a book slump. So I decided that when closer to the books release I would pick this book up again and really read it. Unfortunately I picked this book at the end of my book slump so I still had a hard time getting through even though this book is a lot of fun. I was able to get out of my book slump and finish this book and I had a lot of fun. This book follows a group of girls who are basically space pirates and their captain is Androma or Andi and she is known as the Bloody Baroness. She is forced to do a mission where if she does completes it, she will be able to return to her home planet and freed from her crimes.

Damn this book is good. Like it’s crazy. It’s got like a firefly feel to it which I loved because Firefly is one of my favorite shows of all time. Also the woman in this book are badass like there is so much girl power in this book and I love it. There is a lot action and adventure with this book which makes me sad that this book is only an duology because this world and the characters are so great that I just want this series to be longer! I did have a lot fun with this make and a lot of that goes to the characters. Andi is probably one of the most interesting characters you will probably read about because she is so cool and such a badass and she has a lot backstory to her which is fascinating to read about. Her relationship with Dex is one that I enjoyed reading about but damn they have a lot o history there. I’m unsure what will happen next as the ending of this book makes it seem like Andi dies. I’m unsure about this but I’ve reread the ending so many times and I’m still scared about what will happen. Because the last time you see Andi, Dex is talking about how is getting closer to death and then the book ends with the line and the Bloody Baroness took his place. I think that is a typo with my arc and I have look at a finished copy of the book to make sure but I’m so confused about all of this. So I guess Andi is alive or is someone else replacing her? I really hope not.

I liked the crew members as they added a lot of humor to the story and oh my god that the other storylines in this book are crazy! The storyline with the villains is slow but at the end it goes off with a bang and it’s so great. Zenith is a great book and if you are a fan of sci fi then you’ll love Zenith. You guys should just read Zenith anyway because damn it’s get. It does have a lot of set up which slows the book down at points but honestly this book is still a fun one. I’m very much looking forward to the next book which will hopefully be amazing. Have you guys read Zenith? What did you think? Did you like it? I hope you did because I had a lot fun reading.
