review 1: I chose this book as a lighter read, which it is. Though my freshman college year is long ago behind me, I did enjoy this quirky read. While the book is fiction, the author is 26 yrs old, went to Harvard, and I assume drew from her own experiences. The characters read more like characetures which gets a bit old after awhile. While I could appreciate Peneolpe's feelings of angst and lack of fitting in, there is no real story here. While I can't really recommend this read, I can say that it kept my attention and I cared enough to want to see how it ended.

... moreI didn't want it to end. Penelope is a very interesting character and has a different view of the world than most people I know. I couldn't put this book down and I highly recommend it! Looking back at the plot it I would say there really wasnt much of one and the story moved very slowly. Nonetheless I still enjoyed the book and I will be looking out for other books by Rebecca Harrington. less

I thought it was alright. Penelope was to annoying and I felt as if she didn't belong at Harvard.

Meh. The language feels a bit simplistic. Will follow up with full review.
