review 1: 3.5 stars. A quick, simple, sweet, heartfelt read. I finished in about 3.5 hours. This book honestly made me laugh and cry and think about the love between family, friends, and those we've lost and long to honor and remember. Typically side romances bother me in books, but this one was sweet. I enjoyed all of the characters and found a good amount of depth to them. I only knocked it down to 3.5 rather than 4 or more stars because of its short length and its predictability. I knew all the who-dunnits and secrets right away, which is not typical for me. But still I'd recommend this book for sure. A great, light read.
review 2: Enjoyable book. The hero is conflicted, his best friend committed suicide but he lied to save his legacy and said his gun misfired. Now he... more has to face his friend's parents and ex-fiancee, the woman he has had feeling for, forever and kissed once. He feels guilty and angry, angry because his friend knew that the hero had lost his entire childhood, after finding his dad dead from a suicide and losing his mother mentally. He wants to not act on his feelings for the heroine, but plans don't work out. The heroine knows the truth about the suicide and she has been getting threatening letters for a while.I have to say the book was super hot and there was also a secondary story with a older couple. less
