review 1: This is a cute book about a small dinosaur who is dividing his jellybeans to share with his friend. A bigger dinosaur tries to bully the little guy into giving him all of his jellybeans, but the little one explains that he can't because some of them belong to his friend. The bigger dinosaur tries to intimidate the little one and shows off his big size. The younger one tries to explain that his friend is even bigger than he is, but the bully doesn't believe him and keeps showing off until the friend shows up and reveals that he can fit the bully into his mouth and could eat him if he wanted to. Luckily he only likes leaves and jellybeans. In the end, the bully learns some manners and they all share the jellybeans together.This would be great to use in a story time on dinosa... moreurs, friendship, or manners.
review 2: FUN story about sharing and the downside to bullying.This is a great story--using the ever-popular dinosaur as delightfully fresh characters. Big dinosaur bullies a small dinosaur; small dinosaur warns Big Dinosaur that he has a Bigger Dinosaur friend. Big Dinosaur doesn't believe him--until Bigger Dinosaur appears in an unexpected way.It's a simple, funny way to show there are consequences for kind behavior AND bullying behavior and that we can choose the consequence by choosing the behavior.The story never comes off even mildly "preachy" which allows the humor and simple truth of the story's message to shine through brilliantly! less
