review 1: Както сам вътре хубаво го е казал: "смелостта да не бъда смел". Това е този дневник. Дързък в отчаянието си, чуплив в превъзмогването. Прекрасен език, твърде сгъстена мъка (която някому може да натежи доста, защото е скръб без почивки). Щях да й дам пет звездички, ако не се мяркаше тук-таме онова "театрализиране" на скръбта, за което авторът сам говори, че би желал да избегне.
review 2: I found about "Mourning diary" when looking for Camera Lucida at the Berkeley Public... more Library. Coincidentally, my father passed away less than a month ago. While living my own mourning I felt compelled to read the book - a compilation of notes in which Roland Barthes documents his sense of loss. The pain, the longing, the loneliness, and all the other abstract things that death leaves for those who are still here. An interesting book without literary pretensions. less
