review 1: I DID NOT receive this book to review. I found it all by myself, bought it, read it and loved it! (I wish someone WOULD give me a book to read and review!). I don't generally read "chick lit" and maybe that isn't even the correct definition of this book. (Chick Lit sounds rather derogatory to me, and something you shouldn't waste your time on--like Romance novels--albeit a step or two up.). But whatever category this book falls into, it's a great read! Lots of fun. Didn't want it to end. I will look forward to this new author's next books--even if there is no sequel!
review 2: I can honestly say that I became engrossed in Jamie's world from the very beginning of this book. Jamie is snarky, passionate and very real; qualities that I absolutely adore in a char... moreacter. I found myself empathizing with her through every step of her journey and felt immense satisfaction when she found happiness in the end. As a bonus, the cast of characters that round out her life are absolutely hilarious! I think that Samantha Stroh Bailey could write an entire novel based on the antics of Jamie's family. ;) This book will make you laugh with gusto, shed a few tears and leave you with a feeling that life is good! I cannot wait to read Samantha's next book! less
