review 1: I wasn't quite sure what I was going to get when I purchased "Alien, Mine," but it turned out to be a nice surprise.Yes, it could have been more tightly edited, and yes the typos and word usage errors should have been corrected, but overall it was a fun read.Sandrea is an engaging heroine. She's no-nonsense, tenacious, and fiercely loyal. Mhartak isn't so vividly drawn, and in fact is rather flat, so it's difficult to understand why Sandrea falls in love with him so quickly. For a lot of the story, they're barely together, and that's one of the book's major weaknesses -- their relationship doesn't seem credible.Quite frankly, I had expected it to be steamier read, but what romance there is is sweet. Harris definitely has a talent for writing action and suspense, and it's ea... moresy to keep reading along!
review 2: Really, REALLY, liked this one. Was going through my TBR pile, and was looking for something different--sci-fi alien won out, and I am so glad it did. I found the heroine delightfully smart and strong willed--(no tstl girlie-girl here!), and the H was super alpha. I also enjoyed the secondary characters, all the way down to the h's new pet lizard. There was ALOT of action. So much so it seemed to me like sometimes the romance took a second seat. I found the intimate scenes spicy, but not over done. I enjoyed the writing style--plot moved well, and dialogue was smooth. I would definitely read more from this author. Top choice for me to recommend auto anyone looking for an alien romance! less
