review 1: Despite having a unique idea, A Little Something Different falls short to deliver a unique story. The book tries hard to be cute and fluffy, and is somewhat successful at achieving that at the beginning, but then it gets annoying. There are 14 POVs, most of which didn't make much sense, and it seemed as if the book's trying too hard to be quirky. I couldn't connect to either Gabe or Lea. The side characters (Whose POVs we get) were way too much invested in these two, to the point of being obsessed. I kept chanting 'Get a life!' every time they popped up during the later chapters.Overall, just an okay read, readable if you've got nothing else to do I guess.
review 2: The different perspectives were a wonderful way to tell the story. Who knew a bench could be so
... morefunny (or have a favorite butt)? I didn't even mind the fact that the two main characters themselves didn't have any point of view section. There was something about having the voices of those who drift in and out of their lives that made the whole book poignant. Overall, this book was sweet and charming, and much better than it had any right to be! less
