review 1: Effing phenomenal. Her unabashed narrative on her struggle with mental illness was honest, uplifting, and hilarious. She recounts her recovery and still manages to laugh at herself with a dynamic, insightful voice. Her humor, however, isn't insensitive, but has a gentle, understanding nature and as a book, it does much for the destigmatization of mental illness. Books don't make me laugh out loud often, but she was on point - hilarious and relatable at the same time. Definitely would recommend, with 5 stars.
review 2: simply could not relate at all to this book! I suffer from a mild form of agoraphobia, where I have to take anxiety pills just to leave the house on almost every occasion. What kind of agoraphobia does she have? She writes about having an episode
... moreand then her parents come and get her and she is able to find work without any problems leaving the house. I think it's misleading and I question whether she really ever was agoraphobic. I know Im probably going to get all kinds of flak for this review, but I had to say it!! less

Not as funny as "Let's Pretend This Never Happened", but still good for a few chuckles.

An uneven collection of some slightly amusing life events with a misleading title.
