review 1: Amazing! I enjoyed this story so so much. I will never forget Andrew and Emily. I strong and FOREVER love. I didn't want it to end. I hope Sarah M. Glover writes more! She is able to tie you to these characters like I've never felt before. I want to see more of Nick and Nora... what a love story! It would also be great see Zoey and Christian's and Margot and Simon's journey, through there eyes. God, I love them all! Thank you Sarah M. Glover so much for writing. Please keep it up you are great at it. Can't wait to read more of your works.
review 2: I dove into this book thinking I wouldn't like it & would stop reading if it became too scary. I'll admit it, I'm a big baby. I don't like scary stories (or scary movies) & if it included ghosts, then, wouldn’t ... moreit be scary? But a few people on FB assured me it really wasn't scary & was an incredible read. So I read, & I wasn’t disappointed (or scared). This book consumed me for days with its hauntingly exquisite tale. It contained just the right amount of angst, mystery & suspense to keep me on edge, but not so much that I wanted to jump off the cliff but rather keep climbing & delve deeper. Grave Refrain is a beautifully written love story between a hot, brooding, up & coming rock star (is there any other kind?) & his muse for whom he’s been searching just about his entire young life. Enter Nick & Nora, a ghostly couple in need of help to find their way, as well as Dwayne & the stoners (good name for a rock band?) and you encounter comic relief with perfect timing. Glover is a gifted & talented author whose writing style is eerily similar to another favorite author of mine, which makes me love her that much more. She has the ability to invoke an array of emotions in the reader as inspired by her characters. I’m thrilled that I didn’t pass on reading this amazing tale. less
