review 1: I loved this book! It made me laugh from beginning to end. Bree is a girl stuck in life, she doesn't know how to move forward. It's not until her grandma dies that she decides to start cooking her way through her grandmothers old home recipe book. Signing up for a class she meets Simon, the sexy Australian, and her life begins to roll ahead. Drama with her family and Simon begin to put a strain on Bree and as has to decide what she wants and go after it. Really great read 5 stars
review 2: I like romance with food. I guess they work for me. The recipes sounded tempting. The development of Bree stands out for me. I can see many 30 something readers nodding their understanding of her status in life. The romance has a nice touch of humor throughout and keeps the a
... morengst light and tolerable. The light sex scenes are needed in my opinion to really develop Bree's internal struggles. Her mother is a b**ch and that is probably as bad as the drama gets. I didn't like the ending but overall the book still gave me enough humor and satisfaction to feel my time was not wasted. Overall a well written read for that change of pace in comtemporary romance but nothing special. less

Chick lit. Not great literature, but definitely entertaining.
