review 1: I love this author. She takes Book of Mormon stories and creates action-packed romances with the minor characters. I highly recommend this author. This book is about Captain Moroni's daughter, Kiah. She is somewhat of a tomboy and doubts whether anyone could ever love her. Then she meets a young man who is very different from most of the young men she knows, but she finds herself falling for him anyway. At the same time the king men are taking over Zarahemla and her new friend has a secret he can't share with anyone. Secrets in Zarahemla is a great relaxing novel with plenty of adventure.
review 2: Oddly enough, the main reason why I like this book is because it reminds me of the way I write whenever I happen to write out those tidbits we all write out for class
... more, or just for fun. It has the sort of plot I would write and the sort of style I have. I mostly like to read it to kind of learn how to write better, to see where I might make mistakes and what really works in a novel. It's still a good book with some nice strong emotions in it, but if you're looking for the next great American novel, I'd wait until you're in the mood for something less grand. less
