review 1: There is the embryo of a story in there somewhere, but it’s abandoned very early on to concentrate on a page after page of sex. Which in itself isn’t bad, and some of it is pretty sexy, but there is so much of it it just becomes white noise after a while.It’s probably a Catch 22 that people expect a lot of sex from her, which she feels (contractually) obliged to deliver, and then gets grief for providing more than sex.I wouldn’t mind a book on film theory from her though. It did remind me to watch Citizen Kane again.
review 2: Me sorprendió! pensé que seria la típica historia de novela erótica pero no fue así. como cuenta la cosas, las referencias que la autora ha tomado de ejemplo le da la originalidad. por momentos me confunde un poco pero se te... morermina entendiendo. por un momento sentí que todo era producto de la imaginación de la protagonista. que algunos personajes no existían. y que trate un tema oculta para la sociedad de este tipo de sectas o grupos que buscan solo el placer y es el secreto mejor guardado y ese secreto es q el da el poder. me gusto mucho la reflexiones finales de la Catherine. less

Attirata dall'idea che un'attrice porno potesse scrivere di sottomissione con cognizione di causa, mi sono ritrovata davanti ad un racconto porno con pretese di trama (trama che anche no, perché 1) nessuno te l'ha chiesta 2) fa schifo) infarcito di citazioni a caso di film di avariato genere e in cui si va capo un centinaio di volte di più del numero consentito dalla legge. La vedi proprio la Grey che sorseggiare vino in vestaglia e si sente così figa e colta mentre cita Kubrick e Hitchcook. Signorina Grey, ci crediamo che lei sa altre cose oltre il porno, tranquilla.
