review 1: The main character AJ who tells the story is also a side character from an Aliyah Burke novel which is part of the MLT series,the main character from that novel Dimitri also appears in this book. This is really an enjoyable read, you won't be disappointed. On a side I didn't care for the Burke novel even though I enjoyed many of the stories in the series this wasn't one of them and didn't finish it. Ms. Frierson breathes new life into both of Ms. Burke's characters.
review 2: I was about 4 pages in when I realised it was rubbish. After one glaring grammatical error came the priceless reference to the heroine as a 'spitfire' even though she's only said less than 10 words to this AJ character. All we've seen is her wandering around a bazaar oblivious to the fa... morect that she's a little bit hot. And my other bone of contention - what self respecting heterosexual man refers to a woman's breasts as 'bountiful'? Is she a bloody fruit basket and he a marketing agent?Rubbish! Absolute rubbish.And the fact that I figured this out after only 4 pages is an indicator to me that the rest of he book is bad beyond imagining. less
