review 1: In this volume Mary Jane struggles dealing with her feelings towards Peter Parker... or more like avoiding them. This volume has a lot of elements I really liked; I think Mary Jane's fear of telling Peter how she feels is very endearing and real, it says a lot about her character, especially after the fact that she likes Gwen and doesn't want to hurt her feelings. Liz and Spider-man console her with advice, which I think is great in a coming of age story. Being single isn't the end of the world, and dating for the sake of dating isn't right. This volume centers a lot around MJ, Peter and Gwen while Harry's character takes a backseat [he's not even on the cover] but there's another great moment with Flash, even after the group broke apart in the last vo... morelume.
review 2: I love this second volume of the Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane graphic novel series. It continues the storyline and does a good job showing how Mary Jane struggles with her feelings for Peter. Peter is hanging with Gwen Stacy, the new girl introduced at the end of the first novel. Mary Jane is also involved with the play, and spends time talking with her new friend, Spider-Man, who tries to help her navigate her guy problem. It's a very fun read, and I read it quite quickly, as it's not a very thick book. If you're a fan of Spider-Man, or Mary Jane, or both, you will like this series. They are one of the very best of the superhero couples, because they seem real and their problems, even as teenagers, are convincing and easy to relate to. less

Absolutely fun. Light & fluffy, as a teen high school drama should be.
