review 1: This was a very quick read and exciting for any disney enthusiast. I especially enjoyed how other disney characters outside of this story were entwined. However, I did not like that the POV switched between characters without any notice - you had to continually try to figure out who was narrating. Overall I loved finding out the Beast's history and understanding that he and Belle were truly meant to be together.
review 2: This was an interesting reimagining of Beast's back story. It almost made me feel like he still wasn't worthy of Belle's love by the time they got together. My only issue with it was his age. The movie makes it seem like he was 11 when he was cursed. In the book, he's about 19 or 20, which means he wasn't cursed very long before he met Belle. ... moreSomebody needs to fix this problem with the Beauty and the Beast stories. less
