review 1: While I did not enjoy "Wish You Were Here', the predecessor novel to this one, I thoroughly enjoyed "Emily, Alone". It was half the length of "Wish you Were Here" and vastly more engaging. Moreover you do not need to read the earlier novel in order to understand and enjoy this ...
