review 1: In a fantasy universe, Chigusa tries to assassinate the evil ptrince. A portal opens up and he lands in our world in the garden of a boy who is the spitting image of the prince. This boy Rakan is a lonely orphan who came from the same world, but has no memory of it - he's a Sanome which means he has the magic power to make plants grow. Sanome are rare and have been eraicated in the other dimension which is now completely desert. Chigusa moves in with Rakan and sets himself up as bodyguard. Another man from the same world appears and it seems that these three characters have a mysterious destiny.Very good start to what looks to be an intriguing bishonen fantasy series.
review 2: I enjoyed it quite a bit, though there are some elements that can be somewhat silly.... more Rakan is a pretty and gentle teen who lives alone until an unconscious guy, Chigusa, appears in his yard from another world. The "other world" bit bends Rakan's brain a bit, but not as much as it could have because he and his now dead mother had arrived similarly when he was very young. Chigusa at first wants to kill Rakan for his resemblance to the prince of his land but soon decides he must protect him from attackers showing up instead.The art is pretty, the magic is odd and fun, the culture clash stuff is usually amusing, and the pre-slash vibe is strong in this one. less
