review 1: The first book was good, with a few problems. I got the second book, but it was much worse. Every page talked about how beautiful she (main character) was. The same statements over and over and over. "She is so beautiful. I cannot stop looking at you. You are beyond beautiful". OKAY, readers got it- OKAY. No need to say this over & over. I started skimming over the pages. If I took out all the pages that talked about what she looked like, the book would probably be 50 pages long! Poor grammar. Good subject, but failed overall.
review 2: I was given this book in exchange for an honest review - Lovers of ParanormalThis is a modern day mermaid story about a girl who is thrown into a situation to decide her destiny. I found that I was able to relate to the main c... moreharacter, and I enjoyed the back and forth banter between her and the side characters. I enjoyed the writing style of this story, and I found that I could wrap myself up in the imagery. The choices that some of the characters make throughout the story makes me feel that they were a little immature for the ages that they are supposed to be. I was thoroughly entertained by this story, and I look forward to the next story. less
