review 1: I stopped at page 73...I think this is very well written. I enjoyed the beginning of the story, the characters are likable, and the sex scenes are okay. But that's all there is. I kept finding myself not wanting to pick this back up. It was a struggle to make it as far into the book as I did and I couldn't figure out why.And then I did.There is no conflict. There is nothing to keep the reader coming back, to keep them involved. The possibility of the two guys staying together or parting after graduation just isn't built up enough to make me want to find out. And the characters don't seem to care too much either, at least not by page 73. What happens after that, I'll never know, and I'm okay with that.
review 2: DNF at 40%I just got trying to push through it up ... moreuntil around 40% when I realized that it wasn't what I needed / wanted to read at this time. The idea of friends to lovers is nice, but going at it by 'learning the sex' isn't something I enjoy. After reading the nth time of the repetitive thoughts from each other on how they wanted to approach this newfound state of friendship, I gave up. Not even the upcoming drama which I think would come from Damian's family background is enough to intrigue me. I even checked the last chapter, to decide whether the 'journey' getting to the end would be worth it, and still didn't move me.This is only a voice from one reader. As you can see, people really loving this ... and I'm only a minority :). less
