review 1: I had mixed feelings reading this book. The book was heartbreaking and completely romantic at times. And then there were times that I just wanted to throw my kindle.Skye has been in an abusive relationship for three years until the first week of school her boyfriend dumps her. So she starts hiding behind her frizzy hair and baggy clothes. She meets her hot TA and tries to stay away from him but he keep pursuing her. When she finally starts to let him in he disappoints her so the dance starts all over again.The part that I really can't stand is that her ex comes back around just to beat her up. Does call, ask her out, want to get back together, but just comes around to lay his hands on her. And she does nothing. I get that there are all these reasons that she didn't do anyt... morehing when they were together but she doesn't do anything to stop it now and it bothers me.This book was not for the faint of heart. I still can't decide what I should give it with stars but I guess somewhere between 2.5 and 3. I think I need to cool off and read it again. There were some really romantic times that gave you something to look forward to but it wasn't enough for me.
review 2: 4.5 Crazy Stars!!!Thi is a great emotion roller coaster of story. I was sucked in right from the start and easily connected with all the characters. I was a little annoyed with the back and forth of Skye & Duke's relationship. The push and pull was getting old after a while. That was up until I finished the book and could look back on how the story plays out entirely. That push and pull was necessary to the story and I wouldn't change it. This is my first Stephanie Witter book and definitely will not be my last. I can't wait to read Fix Up & Change Up. less
