review 1: There was a moment, between laughing at Nazi industrialism and genial black folks, where I wondered if I'm actually a huge asshole for finding this so funny. Then Archer cracked a joke about transgender Thai prostitutes and the moment passed. This book, apart from being wildly inappropriate and the reason I'm going to straight to hell, is laugh out loud hilarious. It's riddled with show references and written in such a way that you can actually hear H. Jon Benjamin narrating it in your mind. (I'd still pay for an audiobook copy though.) Seriously, why haven't you read this yet? It's an experience akin to piloting an airboat through alligator-infested waters straight into the Dangerzone.
review 2: This book was an enjoyable companion to the TV show. I definitel... morey ended up reading everything in H. Jon Benjamin's voice, which made the jokes even funnier! Probably most people, picking up How To: Archer, are looking for a chapter on cobras, which this book, unfortunately, does not have, through no fault of the author's. You will have to content yourself with an excellent chapter on drink recipes instead! Seriously though, I do not recommend this book if you have never seen the TV show Archer. My advice is to watch the first season, then read this book. Then watch the other seasons. less
