review 1: This was a really good book, hard to put down. The main character, Jenna, moves back to her hometown after a nasty divorce. She's emotionally broken and lost. Jenna takes a chance by opening a new retail store. She begins to make friends with her first employee, Violet, a friendly loner with a shadowed past only to become lost and confused when her birth parents suddenly show up and introduce themselves out of the blue. This is a great story of reclaiming yourself when life takes a sudden turn and finding that who you are is more than genetics.
review 2: This wasn't my favorite Susan Mallery book. Generally speaking, I prefer her series over stand-alones. That aside, Already Home is very much about family and the importance of keeping them close and welcoming t... morehem in our lives. It's an important topic and one that I wholeheartedly agree with. When I pick up a Mallery book though, I am looking for the love story, the romance, and the passion. There's some of that in Already Home, but not nearly as much as in her other works. less
