review 1: I love Lucky and the adventures she gets herself into. Again this book was creative and the language was engaging; however, it seemed a bit formulaic after reading the first book. I loved the "-ologists". I also love the way Lucky tied in Lincoln's name into his obsession as well as the connection Lucky made between she, Lincoln, and Paloma. I look forward to reading the third book in this trilogy.
review 2: Wonderful sequel to the "The Higher Power of Lucky." Lucky makes a new friend...a girl...but what can she do to keep Lincoln and Miles out of the picture? The emotional stakes are not as high as in the first book (Brigitte is here to stay), but Lucky manages to create some serious trouble for herself. I love "Hard Pan," as improbable as it is, and I love a ... moregirl protagonist who models herself after Charles Darwin. My daughter, age 10, adores this series too. less
