review 1: What a cute, funny, pull you into everyone's lives book! As another reviewer added she loves books about women and I also love to read books that tell story so in depth that you can imagine yourself there with them. Popsi and Sandra are bff's and there husbands are partners in there company and quite well to do so the men work and the woman shop go to charity events etc. Until one day tragedy strikes and Popsi and Sandra's lives are forever changed but they stick by each other and it has a great beginning, middle and ending. Popsi's kids Lily and Rosie have there share of issues that also come out thru out this wonderfully written book. This books leaves you wanting more so its a good thing that Ms. Suzy Duffy wrote the 2nd book Newton Neighbors!!! I am definitely a fa... moren now! * * * * * 5 stars of course because any book I cannot put down and has me laughing and cursing is a great book! Good Job Suzy!!
review 2: I liked this book but didn't love it. The story was very interesting, the characters didn't seem flat, they were sympathetic. I think my issue throughout was that some of the actions of the characters felt a little off. Like you know how movies show an idealized version of how people want life to happen? It's almost like these characters were in that movie acting how they thought people should act. It's a little hard to explain, but it just bothered me. less
