review 1: 3.5* I enjoyed this book, I wanted more details and more in general though because the characters have lots of potential to get under your skin. Mikalo's way of gaining Ronan's trust left me speechless...it took me by surprise, it was hot but I question how it had the desired effect...There's a sequel coming out to this, I wish it was all one book though. I will re-read this before diving straight into the sequel. There's just not enough content to fully "feel" the characters. And they are such good characters you want to know more about!A great, quick read, just a little confusing at times x
review 2: It certainly was a pleasant surprise for me to read this book. I have been reading lots great romance books lately and this one presents a most unique storyline.... more To be honest it was the main male character (Mikalo) that had me the most intrigued. Of course he is drop dead gorgeous and has money to boot (yay!) however unlike most other romance book characters, he was not the overly possessive/jealous type and his unwavering focus and insistence in ensuring they have trust (and the way he goes about in demonstrating trust) was what I found so shocking (as there was a part in the book where I yelled out "Oh no he didn't!") and undoubtedly fascinating all at once! The way it is written I can just hear Mikalo's accent (which I love!) and found the way he expresses himself very honest, sweet and endearing. It definitely had me on my toes as I read Mikalo's and Grace's love story and mostly because it is not the "traditional" type of love story. I must confess that I LOVED that it pushed the envelope for me and made me really think about the different ways these characters expressed their love for one another. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to the next one to see where the story goes! less
