review 1: A co-worker lent me this book and I loved it.I first saw Tabatha on her show "Tabatha Takes Over" and was struck by her confidence, direct approach and professional attitude. Like others have said this book reads like you're sitting down with her for a nice cup of tea and a chat. She has re-claimed the word "bitch" to a positive meaning, something I think is very cool. Her unconventional upbringing is a fascinating read; I don't want to give too much away.Inspirational, brave, tough, honest and ambitious, this is one femme fatale who is afraid of nothing and no one.Must read!
review 2: I really like Tabatha, but this book was not well put together. The cover belies the photos on the inside and the writing is very repetitive in it's stomping around about bein... moreg different. I did enjoy learning about her past, but I wish she would have included those pictures instead of the glam/ dominatrix shots which were included. Perhaps the thought was that she would lose her mystique as a dragon lady and thus her brand, but there is enough to spare that giving her a little dimension this late in her career wouldn't be a bad thing. It wouldn't be as if she were giving the reader a hug so much as showing a more personal history of not giving a &*@#. Then again, you could probably see a little human poking through her eyes in those early days. Can't have that, now can we? LOL. If this were better written and edited I wouldn't need the photos ( see #Girlboss) , but it isn't, so yeah...pass. less
