review 1: This was a lovely little story about Zach, who returns to his home town and lost-love after twenty years when he learns that love's mother has died. He's given up his home and his job to come back and he's thrown when he's not welcomed back with open arms. Mason isn't exactly pleased to see the guy who walked out on him 20 years ago, but gradually the two re-connect and find what they lost despite the best efforts of a town full of homophobic idiots. The story is funny and serious and well written and I'd love to know more about Zach and Mason and see if they really can make it together.
review 2: 1,5*I think there where so many things that did nor kind of "fit together" that I can't even really say why I did not like this story. Maybe a few points.Well, when I
... moreremember right it was in the promp but hey, please tell me the secret of this guy in the picture who is supposed to be around 40 years old...Who the hell leaves everything behind to expect his first love will, whom he ddn't have contact too all the time, would just take him back after 20 years? He might even have a partner.Never knew what was actually the attraction between the both of them.Maybe I jumped over some pages but there is this scene where they are first intimate again. Before that it's all, no way from Mason, then suddenly f*** me, then he insults Zack for being a whore and right after offers him to sleep on his couch which Zach does and even directly moves in the next day. This scene is kind of how I felt all through the story, big questionmark about what's going on. less
