review 1: We visit another one of Kingsley's clubs called "Fathoms" where virginal mermaids swim and flirt to the delight of the clientele. Derek falls hard and fast for one of Kingsley's mermaids, Xenia. But to have a real relationship, Xenia must give up the club and she's not ready to leave just yet.My only complaint was the jumping between the story and Derek sharing the story with his friends was a bit ... not to my tastes. By the way, Kingsley is the only familiar character on deck for this one.
review 2: This bit of fantastical wonderment is bit of a departure for my beloved Ms. Reisz. Still has a bit o Kingsley in the storyline, so this still threads to The Original Sinners series, but very loosely. Other than a few Kingsley cameos in it, there is no other rela... moretion to The Original Sinners series. This isn't dark, or particularly thought provoking. Just a bit of a glimpse into what at least one of Kingsley's businesses is like. God love that man! This is just a nice fun read, if you're like me, and have read every other thing Tiffany Reisz has put out there (which is not nearly enough in my opinion!). less
