review 1: I love Nora. She is ace. She is filthy. She is caring. She knows her own mind. She stands up for those she loves. She is petite and brunette - I could be Nora. One thing though. I don't do pain, so meh possibly not!I started the book unsure about Soren, as I was when I read The Sinner, when I finished I liked him marginally better. He did almost completely blow it though. It involves labia, enough said.I read lots of erotic fiction, but in the words of Carly Simon, nobody does it better than Tiffany Reisz. Some have character, some have sex, some have plot, few have all 3. Tiffany ticks every box with knobs on.I loved the different parts of the plot that come together in a crescendo at the end.Nora & MichaelMichael & GriffinGriffin & NoraNora & SorenKingsley & SuzanneBest t... morehing ever, my lovely sweet Wes came back. I can't wait for more. He needs to pop his cherry!I mostly read electronic books now, but had to get paperback for Tiff, I needed to touch and caress these lovely books. If I can achieve one thing in my life, it is to be asked if I have ever had sex in the back of a Rolls Royce. It's a no right now, but I intend to work on it. Just need to find a man with a Roller who will loan it out by the hour for me and the hubs. If Adam Levine has one that'll work too; he's on my allowed list.My favourite quotes:"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God's sight. But even the hairs on your head are all counted. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows""Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it""Love is the open wound that you hope never heals.""Some hurts are too deep for tears.""I'd never run from you, remember? But I'll always run back."Amazing book by an amazingly talented, super witty author who can really, really write. She's petite and brunette too - I could be Tiff!
review 2: Wow. Slightly disturbing details. To each his own, sure, but blood play? No thanks. Almost stopped reading at that point. Didn't want to have that, for lack of more mature language, icky feeling throughout the book's duration.I did finish the book, and SPOILER ALERT, once you make it through that scene, there are no more to deal with. The writing is excellent and pulls you in to their world, nevermind the craziness. This was my first read by Ms. Reisz, and I will look for more. Wove quite the story.Father Stearns, or whatever you want to call him, is an interesting man. Very enlightening, but really needs some help trying to fight his inner demons. Maybe he could try prayer?Get ready to feel ashamed of being vanilla! :) less
